How We Work
We work on a time and material basis. Each job is unique and can go faster or slower due to weather and soil conditions (ie., heavy soil, rocks, tree roots…). We have a four hour minimum. We work with five minute breaks per hour which is included in the hourly rate.
Cost
Please let us know your budget and what your priorities are. We will do our best to stick to your budget and will consult with you as we progress. At the initial consultation, you will receive a written description of the work to be done and the approximate cost.
Charges
Our rate is the same regardless of the work being performed (see services). The hourly rate includes the gardener who is doing the work, the cost of running the business and Linda’s expertise and experience. We charge for gardening work, shopping for plants and materials, designing, phone time and driving to the work site if over twenty minutes. We charge fifty cents per mile for picking up materials. We charge for all materials we provide.
You can reduce your costs by pick up or providing materials and/or doing prep work yourself. You are always welcome to work alongside us.
Materials need to be paid for as soon as purchased. Payment is due upon completion of work and a deposit is required on jobs of $500 or more. The initial 1/2 hour consultation is free.

All utility lines need to be marked before we start digging, including dog fences and irrigation systems. Please call Gopher One at 651-454-0002 to have utilities marked. We are not responsible for unmarked items.
Yard Waste
We charge a per bag fee for off-site waste removal. If you have your own yard waste removal, please tell us where you would like the bags to be placed. Please leave bags for us to use to avoid an additional charge for providing bags for you.
